Departmental Profile:

Department of Commerce (Evening Department) was established in 1960. B.com (Hons.) in Accounting & Finance and B. Com (Gen) was introduced in the year 1960. Now the department offers B.com Hons & General courses with CCF System as per the University of Calcutta norm. It is indeed the largest department of the college. The department secures several 1st classes in the final examination of the University of Calcutta every year.

Departmental Activities of the Department of Commerce (Evening)

 

1. The department has been actively publishing a Wall Magazine annually based on various themes.

2. The Department of Commerce has been ardently organizing a host of International Webinars and National Seminars where erudite speakers have enriched the occasion and some valuable Seminar proceedings have been published.

3. The students of the department have been actively engaged in NSS and NCC activities and have represented the college in a variety of events

4. The department has organized various educational tours as a part of the curriculum requirement.

5.  The organization has fostered placement opportunities for several students.

6. A number of students of the departments have participated in cultural activities of the College.
