The Career &CounsellingCell
of Bidhan Chandra College,Rishra,was operative fromJuly 2012, under the 11th plan period of UGC. The objective of the cell is to unfold the career opportunities of its students and instil confidence in them to face the challenging professional world. It also caters to the emotional needs of the students by organising stress management programmes.

3. Career Oriented Programme by T.I.M.E.
4. A 3-day Career Oriented Workshop was organized by the Career and Counselling Cell and Placement Cell in collaboration with T.I.M.E Institute on 8.7.21, 9.7.21, and 13.7.21. Three technical sessions on the following topics:
1. Quantitative Aptitude – Speed Math conducted by Smt. Jayanti Jha,resource from T.I.M.E
2. Grammar basics – Sentence Correction conducted by Smt. Shrestha Chatterjee
3. Interview basics& Resume preparation conducted by Rahul S Limaye, a senior mentor from T.I.M.E
The number of registered participants were: 272
Feedback was received from the participants on each session. Students have been immensely benefitted. We hope to organize such programmes in future also with an objective to equip students to face interviews and preliminary screening test.
Placement Cell
The Placement Cell of Bidhan Chandra College functioning from the session 2016-17 as a liaison between the students of final year and different industrial establishments, corporate houses etc. It provides the platform for campus interviews, organises training programmes, group discussions, mock interviews etc., to enhance the job prospects of students and prepare them to face the competing corporate world.The various workshops and career counselling session organised by the Career and Counselling Cell also caters to the objective of the Placement Cell.
